Knowledge alone isn’t enough.

Reading Dr. Jennifer Herring’s Chamber Exchange feature—and Karen Pelletier’s article, “Financial Literacy Isn’t Enough—We Need Real Pathways to Work”—reinforced something we’ve been building through the Worcester Renaissance Project.

The question isn’t simply,

“How do we educate people?”

It’s,

“How do we create pathways for people to apply what they’ve learned?”

For us, that means connecting literacy with entrepreneurship, workforce development, public space, technology, and self-employment—especially for young people.

We’re honored to welcome Dr. Herring as a featured speaker at the Verizon Literacy Backpack Giveaway.

📅 Sunday, July 26
🕐 1:00–4:00 PM
📍 Verizon Wireless
