The King's Tour of the Quabbin is fast approaching...Sunday, October 4th. For the first time in 12 years, Steve will be riding it! His route of choice is the 77 mile gravel route and he/I can't wait! Here's a little preview video (from 2 years ago, ignore the dates).

Frederick Noland of Oakland, Calif., author/illustrator of the new graphic nonfiction "Major Taylor: The World's Fastest Man," pedaled up George Street on a borrowed bike (thank you, S.P.) before his book-signing Sept. 9 at the Major Taylor Museum. Several 7HW members were in the house for the book event.

Signed copies of the book (which of course includes a depiction of Major Taylor's famous George Street climb) are available at TidePool BookShop in Worcester.

The first full-length graphic biography of Major Taylor is available now, and the author/illustrator will discuss the making of the book -- 6 p.m. TOMORROW (Sept. 9) at the Major Taylor Museum in Worcester. 🚴‍♂️💨

, in partnership with MassBike, is launching "Golden Gears," a free bikeshare education and activation program in for adults 50+.

Golden Gears empowers older adults to use their local bikeshare system and bicycle infrastructure. Join us Sunday, 9/20 for free hands-on riding instruction, classroom learning, peer conversations, and a guided group ride on the Blackstone River Greenway in Worcester. This program also supports the use of Metro Mobility bikeshare, in Worcester.
