After more than 8 months preparing we were finally able to have our Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Saturday June 7, 2025 in our new home at 200 Greenwood St, Worcester, MA(The Emanuel Lutheran Church). Ironically the building that we had been in at 16 Greenwood St was the built as the original Emanuel Lutheran Church in 1896 and was their home until the mid 1960's. The building held a few different businesses before the Quinsigamond Village Community Center was established in 1974. During the 50 years there QVCC meant so many things to residents of The Village and beyond. From Community Dinners, Boy Scouts, the 4-H Club, youth basketball teams, meeting place for WIIC( the Worcester Intertribal Indian Council), bead classes with Princess Winona and then carried on by her daughter June Hendrickson and we can't forget the Raves on the weekends. These are just a few things, there were many more. It was also an official election site until it was moved to The Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitors Center shortly after it's completion.

We look forward to spending our next 50 years serving the people of our small section of the City of Worcester with our friends here at the Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Thank you to all that donated to today's Postal Food Drive. Almost 2,000 pounds of food was dropped to us by our local mail carriers. Thank you to all you mail carriers that took on the extra work today of collecting the food and dropping at local pantries.

Hoping someone within Mutual Aid Worcester can help me with contact info the person that was coordinating hot meal deliveries for families with COVID. Just got a text from a family of 4 where the Mom has tested positive and they are in need of food.

With the combined generosity of The Journey Community Church and faculty and students of The College of the Holy Cross we were able to surprise 15 families with deliveries of these packed holiday baskets along with a ham.
