The Worcester Institute for Senior Education (WISE) is a Lifelong Learning Institute open to senior citizens in Central Massachusetts who are interested in continuous learning. A part of Assumption University, WISE is dedicated to the concepts of peer learning, active participation, and intellectual growth. WISE is a member-directed organization; we create our own educational programming and share

our experiences and knowledge on topics of interest to our members. WISE operates in cooperation with the Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Inc. and is an affiliate of the Lifelong Learning Institutes & Road Scholar network.

Have you made a 2026 resolution yet? The start of a new year is a great time to embrace lifelong learning!

WISE is excited to announce that registration for Spring classes will open on Monday, January 12 at 12 PM EST.

If you have not done so already, review our Spring 2026 Course Catalog for full course descriptions and schedules for the coming semester. We have a wide variety of topics and are delighted to welcome some new instructors to the WISE faculty.

Session C classes begin on Monday, February 9, followed by Session D which starts the week of March 23.
