Welcome to Streetlights, where host Deacon Walter Doyle shares moving and true stories from his 46 years as co-director of the Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope, helping "the least, the last and the left-out." While these stories may be about everyday people, some who need just a little help and some who are in dire straights, all these stories spark reflection and compassion, and hopefully move you to perform "reckless acts of caring" in your own life!

In this episode, Walter reads a story written by Father Peter White, former priest of the Diocese of Worcester, about the Urban Missionaries charitable works. He speaks on helping immigrants and refugees through the naturalization process applying for American citizenship, supporting families-in-need with costumes for Halloween, showing compassion to those suffering from drug addiction, and renovating the Little Store with public bathrooms: https://www.wccatv.com/video/streetlights/streetlights-7

We are incredibly grateful to the Knights of Columbus Bishop Flanagan Sutton/Millbury 5K Committee for their generous donation from this year's Annual Road Race!

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the committee has chosen to support Urban Missionaries Our Lady of Hope, and we are truly humbled by their continued partnership and belief in our mission.

Because of supporters like the Knights of Columbus and everyone who participated in the race, we are able to continue providing hope, opportunities, and life-changing programs for individuals and families throughout our community.

Thank you for your dedication, generosity, and commitment to making a difference. We are blessed to have community partners who share our vision of serving those in need and building a stronger, more compassionate Worcester County.

Together, we are making an impact.

A Bountiful Harvest from the Garden of Hope!

What a blessing to share our harvest from the Garden of Hope! Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, supporters, and community partners, our garden continues to produce fresh, healthy vegetables that nourish both body and spirit.

Take a look at Today's harvest! This is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people come together with faith, hope, and a commitment to serving others. Every zucchini, pepper, cucumber, bean, and leafy green represents countless hours of care, teamwork, and love.

We are grateful for everyone who has planted, watered, weeded, harvested, and encouraged this mission along the way. Together, we are growing more than vegetables. We are growing community, dignity, and hope.

💚 Thank you for helping us make a difference, one harvest at a time!
