Andy's Attic Andy's Attic is an organization that provides new and gently used clothing to disadvantaged families Thank you for your interest in Andy’s Attic.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization run by volunteers including students, and 100% of all donations go directly to our cause of providing community support to high school student's and their families. We work in partnership with the Red Cross, the Worcester Youth Center and schools throughout Worcester County. Andy Reese was a 16 year old teenage boy from Shrewsbury who was killed in a tragic

car accident on 12/7/10. Andy was a thoughtful, kind person who actively showed his compassion by reaching out to teenagers and kids in need. In Andy's memory and honor, Andy's Attic was developed by his parents, Darrel and Lisa Reese, and is representative of Andy's character. Andy's Attic provides new and gently used clothing to disadvantaged high school teenagers in Shrewsbury, Worcester and our neighboring communities. We accept clothing of all sizes from infants to adults year round and financial donations are used to purchase items that may be in short supply like new undergarments and socks. We are now located at South High Community School where students earn community service hours by sorting, folding and filling bags of clothing. We provide a positive peer to peer community service opportunity for our students to give back to others. Students donate their time, and their own gently used clothing while gaining critical life skills. We average 20 to 30 student volunteers per day and are now filling approximately 45 bags of clothing to teenagers and their families weekly. Students not only donate their time, but they also donate their own clothing. What an amazing group of students I have! Before tossing your old clothes, please consider giving them to Andy’s Attic; your donations help so many need children and their families. You will put a smile on a teenagers face! Huge shoutout to Emily Huerta for earning the Excellence in Andy’s Attic Award and scholarship. Emily has been an integral part of our non profit for the past four years. She has done it all in her time in Andy’s Attic and truly embraced our mission! Her work ethic, dedication, and compassion will be tough to replace.

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to the Greater Worcester Community Foundation for their generous grant to help Andy’s Attic!! We also want to shout out our awesome grant writing team: seniors Nick Christie and Marco Frost, who researched and wrote the grant application exceptionally as always. Lastly, we want to shout out our amazing student manager: senior Emily Huerta, who represented Andy’s Attic throughout the interview process in order to secure the grant. GREAT JOB BY OUR SOUTH HIGH STUDENTS!!
