Bring them home! Now! In the words of Mahmoud Khalil, Democracy for some is no democracy at all. The Trump regime is using harmful narratives to justify disappearing immigrants and students without due process. Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Minnesota man married to a US citizen, has been mistakenly accused of being an MS-13 member, deported and detained in El Salvador while both the El Salvadoran president and Trump refuse to return him home to his wife and kids. Mahmoud Khalil, Palestinian Columbia University student and green card holder, has been detained and denied conditional release from a Louisiana detention center to see his wife while she gives birth to their first child. Rumeysa Ozturk, a Tufts University student and valid student visa holder, was detained by 6 plainclothes agents of the US Dept of Homeland Security near her home, driven off in an unmarked car and shipped to a Louisiana jail. They have been away from their families and loved ones since March.
If you believe in due process and constitutional rights, come join us in front of Worcester City Hall, 455 Main Street, this Sunday, April 27th at 11am to demand the US Govt bring Kilmar, Mahmoud, Rumeysa and countless others home and immediately halt the deportations of more innocent students and immigrants. ICE is not welcome in Worcester! Bring Kilmar home! Free Mahmoud! Free Rumeysa!
Bring signs, your voices, water, umbrella and/or jacket in case of rain!
