🌱 Great fundraising starts with great leadership.

Leadership sets the tone for an organization and culture can either create the conditions for fundraising to thrive or make it an uphill climb.

Join Theresa Lee, Chief Development Officer at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, for a conversation about the connection between leadership, management, organizational culture, and fundraising.

Together, we’ll explore:

🔹 How leaders shape organizational culture
🔹 How to create an environment where fundraising, relationships, and philanthropy can thrive

With more than 30 years of advancement experience including leadership roles at MIT, Boston College, Holy Cross, WPI, and UMass Lowell, Theresa brings a wealth of practical experience and perspective to the conversation. She is also a longtime instructor in Boston University’s professional fundraising program.

Because fundraising isn’t just about making the ask. It’s about building a culture where people believe in the mission AND want to invest in it.

We’re excited to highlight Jenn as she takes on a new role with WID this year as Treasurer!

Jenn has been part of the WID board, and we’re excited to see her step into this new position. She’s a Post-Award Grant Officer at Worcester State University, bringing her experience with grants, organization, and financial management to the role.

We’re grateful to have Jenn continuing on the board and look forward to all she’ll bring to her new role this year. Congrats, Jenn! 🎉💙

What exactly are DAFs, why are they growing so quickly, and what do they mean for nonprofits?

Join WID next Thursday, October 15 at 12:00 PM for a virtual conversation with Melissa Stepno, President & CEO of The Helen Brown Group.

We’ll dig into how DAFs work, what’s behind their growth, and how nonprofits can better engage donors who give through DAFs. We’ll also look at the bigger picture, including their impact on Giving USA and the evolving fundraising landscape.
