Thank you to Consul General Seiichiro Takahashi from the Office of the Consulate-General of Japan in Boston（在ボストン日本国総領事館） for joining us this morning at our President’s Council, presented by Marsh McLennan Agency.

There are over 200 Japanese companies operating in Massachusetts, employing thousands of Massachusetts residents.

Also joining us this morning was Senator Robyn Kennedy, Rep Amy Mah Sangiolo from Newton, and Chamber Board Chair Charran Fisher

We look forward to continuing our discussions with the Consul General to explore partnerships between Worcester institutions and Japan.

Congratulations to this year’s Worcester Youth Leadership Institute (WYLI) graduates! 🎓

Last week, we celebrated an incredible group of young people who spent the summer learning, growing, building connections, and developing skills they can carry with them into their futures.

This year’s graduation was especially meaningful as we honored the memory and lasting legacy of Walter Jovel, WYLI Program Director. Walter’s parents joined us and shared heartfelt reflections on his life, his leadership, and the impact he had on the young people he served. His commitment to Worcester’s youth will continue to be an important part of WYLI’s story.

We’re proud of every student who completed this year’s program and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.
