It’s been a busy summer at WCG! Now that the fall season is officially underway, we want to recap some of the amazing community events we had!
In May, we held our first Community Paint Night of 2026 where we painted a beautiful image of tulips guided by a spectacular teacher! In June, our residents held a community yard sale. In addition, we also had the opportunity to hold an educational utility bill workshop, in partnership with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office of Energy Division and Department of Energy Resources.
In July, we continued on with one of our favorite traditions – we purchased a group of tickets to attend Worcester Red Sox game! WCG was also fortunate enough to participate in the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District “Out to Lunch Festival and Farmer’s Market” series. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and continuing our outreach with the community!
Though it looked a little different this year, Dismas House generously donated 10 bags of assorted vegetables every week that we then distributed to our residents. Lastly, in August, we held a community bingo night where tenants were able to spend even more time building relationships, eat dinner, and winning awesome prizes!
Our summer has been jam-packed, and we can't wait to continue facilitating community events and ensuring our residents have the best experiences possible!
