Alysha, when asked, “What keeps you motivated, year after year, in your job?” shared, "What keeps me motivated year after year is knowing that the work I do truly makes a difference. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients in their homes and supporting them and their families over many years. Having the opportunity to help individuals access the equipment they need, make progress toward greater independence, and watch them grow in their daily lives is incredibly rewarding.

But most of all, it’s my clients who motivate me. Seeing them show up, show off, and give their best in every session we have reminds me why I love what I do. Get active this summer with Accessible Martial Arts, offered in person on select Thursdays at two locations! Designed for people of all abilities, this class focuses on self-defense, movement, and relaxation in a welcoming and safe setting.

Make a splash this fall at our Adaptive Swim Program at the accessible YWCA of Central Massachusetts beginning September 27! Led by aquatics instructors and a lifeguard, groups will participate in fun safety activities and water games that maximize independence in the water. In May, Charlene Leith, Director of Marketing & Communications at Easterseals Massachusetts, graduated from the Women's Executive Academy, an eight-month leadership development program offered by Nichols College in partnership with the Worcester Business Journal. The academy brings together emerging and established leaders from across Central Massachusetts to strengthen leadership skills, foster meaningful professional connections, and learn from accomplished female executives, helping participants enhance their impact within their organizations and communities.
