This is an online social place for residents, business owners, tenants, parents, landlords, teens, parishioners, property managers, dog owners... the neighbors of Vernon Hill. We care about the people, parks, businesses, schools, urban forest, streets, homes, environment, city services, crime, churches, visitors, green space, non-profits, water, s

enior housing, and everything else within the borders that we share. The neighborhood is south of the city's central core. We are primarily residentially zoned, known for three-decker housing (3-unit stacked flats built from 1890-1930) on a steep hillside. We have a 15-acre park with ballfields, swimming pool, and dog park. We have six public and private schools; a private outpatient medical center; municipal senior center; two non-profit recreation centers for children; two cathedrals; several public housing units; several historic districts and homes; and a number of neighborhood service retailers and light industry.

Worcester Police Department (Official) are asking for assistance in locating a runaway twelve year old juvenile, named Javion, who ran away this evening around five fifteen p m. He is a Hispanic male with black hair, brown eyes, at a height of four feet ten inches and weighing one hundred thirty pounds. He was last seen wearing red shorts and black t-shirt. He may be in the area of Blackstone River Rd and Vernon Hill. Please call the Worcester Police if you see this juvenile.

11 years after first replacing the weeds with flowers at the Providence and Winthrop traffic island, Christopher Rodwill, son of the city has moved his family to the suburbs 😮

From grassroots, I have worked to unite the diverse citizens of this neighborhood who share common quality of life concerns. We now have over 500 like on Facebook, 200 on Instagram, and an email subscription roster.

I am looking for a dedicated person or persons to continue serving the neighborhood. I can show you how to create daily content, who to contact for services throughout the government, how to collaborate with other organizations, and lessons I've learned being someone who is just trying to help the community.
