Progress continues at GreenTech Park! ๐Ÿšง The contractor has begun demolition of the remaining two buildings along New Bond Street in Quadrant 3. With the majority of inground remediation work now complete, foundation demolition is expected to begin shortly.

Exciting steps forward as we prepare this site for the next phase of development! ๐Ÿ’š

Crews have been hard at work on site!

This time-lapse captures progress along the lower section of New Bond Street from early August through this week. ๐Ÿ“น

During this period, significant material and debris sorting took place in preparation for off-site removal and disposal. Concrete crushing and stockpiling were also underway.

Rail played a key role: empty cars were delivered, loaded, and hauled away, with a new set currently being filled. ๐Ÿš‚ Using rail has helped minimize truck traffic through the neighborhood.

Crews also performed excavation and remediation work, while swapping out equipment in preparation for the next major milestoneโ€”the demolition of the remaining buildings on site. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

Photo Dump! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿšœ

The demolition of Refractory Plant 1 was completed the week of September 23rd. The contractor is also focused on relocation of materials from the site and removal of foundations to allow for pad ready development sites.

The project has sent approximately 15.2 million pounds of construction debris from the site via rail. This has alleviated approximately 345 tractor trailers from being on the highways.

Quadrant 3 activities have slowed down in order to reclaim salvage wood as well as consolidate debris and materials.

Happy Monday! A lot of progress has been made on the site:

Last Tuesday at 10AM the contractor began demolition of buildings along New Bond Street to start the Quadrant 3 portion of the demolition. In this short time frame, we were able to demolish the HGTC Powder Process building (Bldg 410), House Keeping Storage (BLDG 411), Office Building #2 (412) and 75% of Mill #3 (413). Over the next week they will continue to process the materials from the demolition and make room to continue to demolish the buildings heading West towards I-190. There are only a few buildings remaining along I-190 at this point. Foundation demolition will begin in the next few weeks to allow for pad mounted ready sites for future development.
