Phi Sigma Sigma- Gamma Iota Chapter at WPI Once a Phi Sigma Sigma, Always a Phi Sigma Sigma! The Gamma Iota chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma at Worcester Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1977.

The founding sisters felt the need for a sisterhood in a school dominated by males, and thus they began the process of establishing the first sorority on campus. The very first composite, including founding Archon Karen Chesney Honold, still hangs in the dining room of our chapter house at 15 Elbridge Street. Today, we have over 90 active sisters wearing our letters, and we are looking forward to expanding our numbers with formal recruitment in B-Term!

Congratulations to our data science student, Allison Escott for a successful internship at Travelers Insurance in Connecticut this summer!

“This summer I worked at Travelers in the data analytics leadership program. I worked on analyzing claims and developing algorithms to help the company detect fraud. This internship was a great way for me to build on my technical and leadership skills!”

She had an amazing time and it was an absolute honor to meet so many sisters, as well as welcome our new Supreme Council. We are also so honored to have won the Outstanding Collegiate Chapter Award! Special thank you to everyone who supported us along the way ♥️
