Agency is the freedom to shape your own life. For generations, Indigenous peoples have had to fight to protect that freedom, along with their land, language, and ways of life.

Today we honor the Nipmuc people, on whose homeland Abby’s House stands, along with Indigenous communities everywhere who continue to shape their own futures with strength and resilience.

Today is a reminder of why agency matters so deeply. It’s a value we carry into our work with women and children every day.

Our offices and Thrift Shop will be closed Monday, October 12. Regular hours resume Tuesday, October 13.

Your DAF is still waiting, and the good news is it only takes about five minutes.

If you have a donor-advised fund, here is all it takes:
