Members of the Executive Board from proudly delivered an AED this week to Oliver Ames High School.

Scholastic Sports Zone Foundation’s mission is centered around protecting students and communities through increased access to AEDs, education, advocacy, and emergency preparedness initiatives across Massachusetts schools and athletic programs.

Michael’s Law was established to help ensure schools are equipped to respond quickly during sudden cardiac emergencies because having an AED nearby can save precious minutes — and save lives.

This week, the Executive Board from delivered an AED to Shepherd Hill Regional High School.

At Scholastic Sports Zone Foundation, we are dedicated to helping schools and athletic organizations strengthen emergency preparedness and improve access to lifesaving AED equipment throughout Massachusetts.

Michael’s Law requires schools to have AEDs accessible because sudden cardiac arrest remains one of the leading causes of death among young athletes during physical activity. Immediate response and access to an AED can significantly improve survival outcomes.

Our goal is not only to donate equipment, but also to continue raising awareness about the importance of heart safety, preparedness, and protecting school communities.

This week, proudly delivered an AED to Notre Dame Academy.

The mission of Scholastic Sports Zone Foundation is rooted in protecting lives through awareness, preparedness, and access to emergency equipment. We believe every student, athlete, coach, and school community deserves the peace of mind that comes with having AEDs readily available during emergencies.

Michael’s Law was created to help ensure Massachusetts schools are equipped with AEDs because sudden cardiac arrest can occur at any time — often without warning. Having an AED nearby dramatically increases the chance of survival.

Our Foundation was created with a mission to increase awareness around sudden cardiac arrest and ensure schools have access to the lifesaving equipment needed during emergencies. Through advocacy, education, fundraising, and community partnerships, we work to help make schools and athletic facilities safer places for students and families.

Michael’s Law requires Massachusetts schools to have AEDs accessible on campus because every second counts during a cardiac emergency. Quick response times save lives.

At Scholastic Sports Zone Foundation, our mission is simple but powerful: to help protect students, athletes, coaches, staff, and spectators by improving access to lifesaving AEDs and emergency preparedness resources in schools and athletic communities across Massachusetts.

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and in those critical moments, immediate access to an AED can mean the difference between life and death. That is why Michael’s Law requires Massachusetts schools to have AEDs available and accessible on campus.

Unfortunately, not every school has the funding or resources needed to purchase this equipment. That is where our Foundation steps in — working directly with schools and communities to help bridge that gap and make campuses safer for everyone.

Every AED donated represents more than a device. It represents preparedness, protection, awareness, and the possibility of saving a life.
