: Home Modification Loan Program (HMLP) – Habib, Nozhat, Danial, and Mahan's Story

HMLP is a state-funded lending program that provides no-interest loans to homeowners to fund necessary changes to keep themselves or a family member with a disability or mobility impairment living comfortably in their own home.

The program has generous income guidelines and allows for accessibility renovations based on the household member's medical need. This program can benefit anyone in the house who has a disability or mobility impairment; the homeowner themself, their child, or an elderly family member.

RCAP Solutions administers this program throughout Central Massachusetts in collaboration with MassAbility and the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC).

Our Community & Economic Development team is in Midcoast Maine this week as part of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Thriving Communities Program (TCP).

Together with AECOM and other project partners, we're presenting a draft regional transit feasibility study and collaborating with local stakeholders on the next phase of technical assistance.

These visits highlight ongoing efforts across the Midcoast region, where transportation investments and planning initiatives are helping create more connected, accessible, and resilient communities. 🚍 🚒 🏍️

Through the RCAP WIIN (Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation) Program, RCAP Solutions is working with partners to support New Hampshire schools by identifying safe water bottle filling stations and point-of-use filters, flagging unsafe sinks and bubblers, and installing "Safe Drinking Water" and "Do Not Drink" signage where needed.

This important initiative helps address lead contamination risks and protects student health by ensuring access to safer drinking water.

We offer on-site professional management, 24-hour on-call maintenance, and a resident service coordinator program, allowing residents to stay independent. : We are thrilled to share that Jackeline, a committed participant in the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Savings Match for Homeownership Program at RCAP Solutions, has recently closed on her first home in Rutland, Massachusetts! 👏

Jackeline remained focused on her goals every step of the way to achieve her dream of homeownership. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, she successfully graduated from the program in just three years, and this month, she and her children will be moving into their new home! 🥳 🔑 🏡

The FSS Savings Match Homeownership Program can assist Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher holders and Project-Based Voucher recipients with targeted information about becoming a successful homeowners.
