KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Brainstorming Sessions to evaluate what is needed in the community – 3 sessions. Professional/Social Networking Events. Two school committee forums to highlight the challenges facing our students in the public school system. Se Puede: A conference in collaboration with College of the Holy Cross, The Latino Education Institute at Worcester State University and Adelante Worcester about the status of Latino education in Worcester. Mayor’s Commission on Latino Educational Excellence, met and published, "Creating the Will: A Community Road Map to Achieving Educational Excellence for Latino Students in Worcester." Annual "El Parrandon" Fiesta Navideña with over 300 guests celebrating traditional Latino culture in December. Electronic updates on the Latino community, opportunities and events. A page originally with over 1K friends.
