Today we honor two milestones — the 1‑year anniversary of the Jackson Cole Croft One Family Foundation and what would have been Jackson’s 19th birthday.

In just one year, we’ve partnered with 4 organizations, awarded 2 scholarships, sponsored 2 teams/events, supported 7 kids, and held our first fishing tournament — all to give young people the opportunity to build their legacy, just like Jackson built his.

To celebrate our first year and Jackson’s birthday, we’re launching a simple but powerful campaign:
If everyone following our page gave $1 per month for 9 months, we could raise $500 each month — enough to sponsor another kid or team chasing their dreams.

Jackson’s legacy continues through every child we help. Thank you for being a part of it.

Why We Chose the Sunset Scene for Jackson’s Foundation?

The sunset background on the Jackson Cole Croft One Family Foundation page isn’t just a pretty picture — it’s a piece of our story. It’s a reminder of the signs God gave us, the comfort He sent, and the reassurance that Jackson is still with us in ways only our hearts can understand.

On the day we lost Jackson, someone sent us a photo of the sky — a cross formed in the clouds, sitting right above the spot where he went missing. At first, we thought it had to be edited. It felt impossible. But then other family members saw the same thing with their own eyes.
To us, it was God saying, “I’ve got him.”
Jackson wasn’t saved yet, but that sign gave us peace we desperately needed. It told us he was okay. It told us he wasn’t alone.

Since that day, we’ve carried a quiet question in our hearts:
Are we doing enough to honor Jackson?
Is the foundation truly what he would have wanted?
Are we building his legacy the way he dreamed?

On October 4th, after our first Jackson Cole Croft Memorial Fishing Tournament, we came home exhausted, emotional, and proud — but still wondering if we were on the right path. As we stepped outside to unwind from the day, we looked up… and saw it again.
The same cross in the sky.
Over the same lake.
On the day we honored him.

You may think what you want, but to us, Jackson was telling us he was there. That he saw the tournament. That he felt the love. That we are building something he would be proud of.

The sunset scene symbolizes that moment — the peace, the sign, the reassurance. It’s the reminder that Jackson’s legacy is alive, and that every act of service, every event, every child we help is part of the path God placed in front of us.

The sunset is our sign of hope. Our reminder of Jackson. Our promise to keep going.
And every time we see it, we know:
We are doing the right thing. We are honoring him. And he is with us.

Together, they preserve Jackson’s legacy, support youth and community programs, and provide opportunities for future generations to chase their dreams and build their own legacy — just like Jackson.

There are people who come into your life that, when you tell them you have an idea, never question it or tell you that you're crazy. Instead, they simply ask, "What do you need from me?" and "Where do I sign up?"

They are the people you can count on, whether it's running on only a few hours of sleep, tackling last-minute challenges, or helping figure out all the details needed to make something happen.

These are just a few of those amazing people that I happened to get pictures of, but it truly took a village of our One Family members to bring this event together. The time, effort, and heart that so many poured into making the Jackson Cole Croft Memorial Fishing Tournament a success is something we'll never be able to fully put into words.

Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, family member, and friend who showed up, pitched in, and helped keep Jackson's legacy alive. The love and dedication you have for our family and foundation means more than you'll ever know. 💚 🎣

Thank you Tanner Folds @ Folds Graphics for making my last-minute winner check dreams come true!

These turned out absolutely perfect for the event, and we couldn't have been happier with how they looked.

Tanner is one of our 2026 sponsored kids, and it's been exciting to watch him build his legacy both on the race track and as he grows his own graphic design business. We're proud to support young people who are chasing their dreams and creating opportunities for themselves.

From rodeo announcer to fishing tournament announcer, Courtney Smith absolutely knocked it out of the park!

While this may not be your full-time job, you stepped up in a huge way and helped make the Jackson Cole Croft Memorial Fishing Tournament such a special event.

You have a gift for connecting with people and bringing events to life, but what meant the most to us was the way you shared Jackson's story and the purpose behind our foundation. As Jackson's family, those are often the hardest words for us to say. The emotions are still so real, and putting them into words can be incredibly difficult.

We are beyond grateful for your willingness, compassion, and bravery to stand before a crowd and tell our story with such grace. You helped others understand why we're here, why we do this, and the impact we hope to make in Jackson's memory.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Matt Burke and Prodigy Boats for the custom trophies they created for our first Jackson Cole Croft Memorial Fishing Tournament!

We received so many compliments on the trophies throughout the event, and countless people asked where they were made.

Results from the kid's bank fishing tournament at Gatewood Park

It was a little rough to start but then we had 4 kids out of our 20 kids start to catch fishes.

Biggest Fish goes to Lydia with 0.5lbs

Most fish tied between Wyatt and Jacob with 3 Fish

4th Place was Madsion with 1 fish pulling it with 10 minutes left.

Congratulations to these kids for their catches, cash, and prizes that was donated by One Family supporters.

Thank you to all the families that came out to support our young anglers and those that helped these kids on the bank as they got tangled or needed a hook out.

RESULTS from the first Jackson Cole Croft Memorial Fishing Tournament.

1st Place: Randy McCoy and Chuck Thrasher - 12.26lbs $2,000

2nd Place: Dennis Beasley and Collin Beasley - 11.42lbs $1,000

3rd Place: Patric Hulsey and Austin Hulsey - 10.58lbs $500

Big Fish: Dennis Beasley and Collin Beasley - 4.36lbs $500

9th Place: Andrew Murphy 7.88lbs $131

For those that don't know, 9th place was a special place for us to honor Jackson for his sports number was 9 and his rodeo back number for 5 years was 131. These are the numbers that helped build his legacy in his short life.
