πŸˆβ€β¬› Targeted TNR comes to Compton!

🐈 Given the limited resources for TNR in Los Angeles, it’s more important than ever to use what’s available as efficiently as possible.

πŸˆβ€β¬› FixNation is now prioritizing targeted trapping – identifying the areas in greatest need and strategically focusing our efforts there.

🐈 We’re very excited to announce a new collaboration with Helen Sanders CatPAWS and TippedEars that aims to make a long-term impact on community cats in Compton.

πŸˆβ€β¬› The first kitties will be fixed on June 9th! Watch this space for photos and updates!

Cats are not objects that can simply be replaced. They are living, feeling beings who experience fear, pain, comfort, trust, and love.

Cats form deep bonds with the people who care for them. They have unique personalities, routines, and relationships that make them irreplaceable to the families who love them. When someone intentionally harms a cat, many people believe the loss and suffering involved cannot be measured solely in terms of property.

While animal cruelty laws exist in many places, some advocates argue that penalties often fail to reflect the seriousness of intentionally harming a sentient life. They believe deliberate cruelty should be recognized for what it is: an act that causes real suffering to a vulnerable living being.

Others believe stronger enforcement of existing laws is the answer. But regardless of where people stand on the legal details, there is growing agreement on one point: cats are more than possessions.

For millions of people, they are family members, companions, and beloved friends whose lives have value beyond any price tag.

Do you believe intentionally harming a cat should be treated as more than just damage to property under the law? 🐾❀️

Comfort sometimes comes from the quietest places.

Jennifer Garner recently shared that her cat, Meowchi, became a steady source of comfort while she was navigating a period of personal grief. The actress said having Meowchi close offered routine, calm and companionship during a difficult time.
Stories like this resonate, experts say, because pets can provide grounding presence during loss β€” offering support without expectations or words.
