Today, Woodhaven Kiwanians Bob McCoy, Dennis Mahaffey, and Paul Elsey put up "On the First Day of Kindergarten" in the Kiwanis Story Walk at Woodhaven's Splash Pad Park.
The Plot: A young child shares the exciting, cool things they do during the first twelve days of school, from riding the big yellow bus and making new friends to painting, singing, and going on a field trip to the zoo on the final day.
The Goal: It helps calm first-day-of-school nerves for young children by showing how fun and welcoming school can be.
