Our EQUIP team members had the incredible opportunity to participate in a personalized career exploration tour at Petco! 🐾

A special thank you to Deana and Laurie for welcoming us and providing an informative behind-the-scenes look at the many career opportunities Petco has to offer. Our team members learned about the different departments, including the Veterinary Hospital, Grooming Salon, and Dog Training, while also exploring a variety of job roles such as stocking, customer service, and maintenance. During the tour, our team members also had the chance to interact with and pet some of the animals, making the experience both educational and engaging while learning about the daily responsibilities involved in caring for pets. Experiences like these help our team members discover new career paths, build workplace knowledge, and gain a greater understanding of the many opportunities available in their community.

Our EQUIP team had an exciting opportunity to visit Dr. Antonia Mauro at Tiny Teeth Pediatric Dentistry as part of our Career of the Month Series last month! 🦷✨

Our EQUIP team members got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to work in a dental office, explored different career paths in dentistry, and learned about the teamwork, skills, and care that go into helping patients smile with confidence. Thank you to Dr. Antonia Mauro at Tiny Teeth Pediatric Dentistry for welcoming us and inspiring our EQUIP team members to explore new career possibilities. Experiences like these help turn curiosity into confidence—one career at a time! 💙

Career of the Month: Healthcare! 💙
Last month, our EQUIP team members had the opportunity to learn about careers in healthcare through a special visit from our very own nursing team: Patrice Edelman LPN and Nathalia Josephs RN.

Our nurses shared what a typical day looks like, the skills and compassion needed to succeed, and their personal experiences in the profession. They also took the time to answer questions and inspire our team to explore the rewarding world of nursing. A huge thank you to our incredible nurses for sharing your knowledge, passion, and dedication. Your visit gave our participants valuable insight into the many opportunities a career in healthcare can offer! 💙✨

Last week, the Parents Association hosted a Summer Fun Party for the Children’s Day Program! The children enjoyed an exciting day filled with a foam machine, bounce houses, slides, ice cream, and plenty of summer smiles.

🦈 It was a FIN-tastic Shark Week at The Children’s Day Program! 🌊

Our children had an ocean of fun celebrating Shark Week with exciting activities like walking the plank, pinning the fin on the shark, fun photo opportunities, and so much more! It was a week filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories.

We love creating engaging experiences that encourage learning through play—and this one definitely made a splash! 💙🦈

Our Woodbury Campus came alive with an unforgettable day of water play, creative crafts, exciting games, live music, dancing, and nonstop fun! Every activity brought people together to laugh, connect, and celebrate the joy of summer while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

At The Center, we love providing opportunities that inspire friendship, inclusion, and meaningful experiences for the people we support. 💙

🚴 Riding with purpose. Making a difference.

In the months leading up to the 19th Annual Town of Babylon's Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride, the individuals we support proudly helped spread the word by visiting local businesses throughout the Town of Babylon, hanging flyers, and connecting with business owners to raise awareness for this incredible cause.

Their dedication and enthusiasm helped make this year's event a success! On July 17, Team CDD rode alongside more than 1,200 riders and raised an incredible $3,397 in support of the Wounded Warrior Project.

We're so proud of everyone who contributed their time, energy, and heart to honor and support the brave men and women who have served our country. Together, we're making a meaningful difference. 💙

Our EQUIP team had an incredible visit to LifeVac to kick off our Career of the Month: Healthcare Workers! 💙

Team members gained hands-on experience learning how a LifeVac device is built and how to use a LifeVac in the event of a choking emergency. The team also heard powerful stories about the lives it has helped save while touring LifeVac's "Hall of Saves." It was an inspiring opportunity to explore careers that make a real difference in patient safety and emergency preparedness.

A special shout-out to LifeVac Owner/Inventor Arthur Lih III, COO Mike Singer, President Laura Bonelli, and VP of Sales Heidi Felix for providing such an engaging, informative, and memorable experience. Your passion, expertise, and commitment to saving lives made a lasting impact on our team.
