Well good morning Comrades, on this here Friday-Eve, Thursday morning. Now as we begin this new day given to us by Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God the Son, I am led of God to ask a this., Are you saved? If so then are you a witness for Jesus Christ?

Hey Comrade, it is indeed “the will” of God that we be witnesses for Jesus Christ, if we are “truly” saved. OOH-RA! But, you see it is not enough to just know the will of God, which is for His saved children to be witness to this lost world. To tell others about Jesus Christ and the love of God!

For us to be “witnesses” for Jess Christ, to tell others about His love for us, and that He loves us so much that He gave His earthly life for us. That He shed His prefect, precious, blood for the cleansing of our sins. We, “true” Christians need Him Jesus Christ to “enable” us to be witnesses!!

Yesterday, I had taken our car to the shop to be serviced, you know oil changed, etc.? And as I was waiting there in a prepared room, at the dealership, there was another man there who was watching me. He was kind of staring at the crosses on the collar of my shirt. Finally he came over to me and said, I was looking at those crosses you are wearing. Will you tell me about them, why you wear them?

I told him that I am the Chaplain for the VFW and for the American Legion here in Winsted, CT. And then I began to witness to him about Jesus Christ... As I was witnessing to him about Jesus Christ and His love for us, I realized afresh and anew how much I do indeed need Jesus Christ to “enable” me to be a “witness.”

You see Comrade, It must be Him giving me the words, the genuine, unquestionable, emotions, and the ability to be a “witness” for Him. Comrade, we can’t be an effective witness for Jesus on our own. It is God the Holy Spirit that gives us the strength and encouragement to get the job done. OOH-RA!

Before I go any further, let’s read the words of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew chapter five. “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)

Hey Comrade, just as salt makes a difference in our food, so light makes a difference in our surroundings. You see Jesus came as “the light,” the “spiritual light,” for all people. Listen to His Words in In the Gospel of John, “I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

So you see my beloved if you are “really” saved, if you are really a “true” Christian…. Then, you must live for Jesus Christ, shining like a light in this dark world, showing clearly what Jesus Christ has done for you and what He is like. Because Jesus is the Light of the World, His followers, ‘true Christians” must reflect His light. OOH-RA!

You see my fellow Comrades, if we are "truly" saved, and live for Jesus Christ then, we “will” glow like lights, showing others what Jesus Christ is like!!!

Well good morning Comrades, on this here Wednesday morning... Here we are in the middle of the week. And I think that maybe some of us “true” Christians may need a “spiritual” reminder of how much Jehovah God loves us? A reminder of how Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God the Son, became a humble servant, so that we lost sinners could become children of God. Now Comrade, think real slow about what I just said, for a few minutes here this morning...

To bring to light what I just said read with me, (John 13:1-5). “Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them unto the end. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him. Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside His garments; and took a towel, and girded Himself. After that He poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded.”

Oh Wow!! Jesus Christ, God, became a servant! OOH-RA!! The night before Jesus was crucified He washed His disciples’ feet. Why did He do that? Hey, one of the reasons was to model “humble service!” For you see the work of foot-washing was the role of a slave, not of a king. And Comrade, we can all benefit from following Jesus' example! The Creator washed the feet of His creatures and, in so doing, He served both His “true” disciples and His “false” disciple, Judas Iscariot. OOH-RA!!

Now for sure, Jesus’ actions were an example for us to follow!! But they were not merely an "example!" And if all we see here is the a call to copy Jesus’ humble behavior, then we risk missing Jesus’s full and glorious intention! OOH-RA!

As Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, He “knew” what the immediate future held! He was keenly and intensely, aware that a time of great sorrow, His crucifixion, was coming, was close at hand. His action showed that the future is always in the Father’s loving hands.

Jesus' cleansing of His disciples feet symbolized the future cleansing of their souls! A cleansing not by the water in His bowl but by His blood on that old rugged cross. Now understand this Comrde, in His humility, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God the Son, offers to wash us clean of the stain of our sins! And we must meet His “humility” with our "humility," by accepting our desperate need and asking to be so washed. Yes Sir, Yes Ma'am! OOH-RA!

Only once we appreciate how we have been served by our Savior will we serve others in the same way! Hey, Jesus Christ's example of washing His disciples feet, was meant to do far more than change our behavior! It was meant to “humble us” and then to “assure” us of our forgiveness, when we submit to Him. OOH-RA!

Well good morning Comrades, on this here Tuesday morning. Now as we begin this new morning, I am led of the Lord to ask this question, Do you actually “know” Jesus Christ Comrade, or do you just “know about” Jesus Christ? Now as you consider that question, I say this.

Christianity, really “knowing” Jesus Christ, is not a code, it is not a cause, it is not a creed, it is not conduct, it is not church. Oh No! “Christianity is “knowing” Jesus Christ. The mark of a Christian is a “love” for the Lord Jesus Christ. And the “true desire” of every “true” Christian is to “know” Jesus Christ “personally” and “intimately.” OOH-RA!!

A “true” Christian wants more than redemption, we want a “relationship.” We want more than the gifts He gives, we want "the Giver." We want Jesus Christ to be real to us. Well come on now Comrade Is this so with you?

Hey, I heard a preacher, a long time ago, say this... You can know “about” somebody without “knowing” that somebody. Make sense?? It does to me... Hey with that thought in mind, I say this, I want to “know” Jesus Christ, not merely “know about” Him. Comrade, yea you who are reading this, do you “know” Jesus Christ, or do you just "know about" Jesus Christ?

And having asked that question, hear ye the words of the Apostle Paul as he spoke to the Philippine church..... “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; (Philippians 3:10)

In the book of Philippians the Apostle Paul was speaking about wanting to “know” Jesus Chris. The word for “know” he used, in this verse, is a Greek word that is referring to personal, “experiential” knowledge. You see Comrade, to really “know” Jesus Christ is more than merely knowing the facts or teachings about Him. Paul wanted to “know”Jesus Christ, in a “personal” way because, Jesus had changed the very foundation of his life. And hey, that should be the goal of every “true” Christian! To know Jesus Christ more fully and personally. OOH-RA!!

You see, the Apostle Paul wanted to know "the power" of Jesus' resurrection. "The power" of God the Holy Spirit that brought Jesus back from the dead which is available to all “true” Christians..... The power to raise them from spiritual death now, and from physical death in the future. You see, the Apostle Paul wanted to know this power, “personally” and “experientially.” Because you see, “knowing” Jesus Christ, assures “true” Christians of their justification and of their regeneration as they identify with Jesus Christ. OOH-RA!

Hey, I want Jesus Christ to be more “real” to me than any person I see face to face. And you know what? Jehovah God has told us how to “know” His Son, Jesus Christ! We can and will “know” Him through His Word. OOH-RA! But do you “really” want to “know” Him, Comrade??

Well good morning Comrades on this “Monday” morning.. Hey we have once again been hearing a lot of talk about citizenship in the news lately. About being citizens of the the United States of America. Well, this morning by the grace of God, and under the leadership of God the Holy Spirit, let's think about being the people of God, and being citizens of the kingdom of God.

Hey Comrade, every kingdom has citizens, and the kingdom of God is no different. Well now that being the case just who, then, are the citizens in God’s kingdom? Who are God’s people? Well I am glad you asked!! The people of God, the citizens of God's kingdom, consist of, include all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.

You see my fellow Comrades, people are not a part of God’s kingdom because of their intellect, power, or any other external factor! They are citizens of God's kingdom because and only because, Jehovah God has chosen to love them and He has given them “the gift” of "faith" and then they having placed that faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Making them citizens of God's kingdom.. OOH-RA!!

Now Jesus rebuked the Pharisees, the religious crowed, for assuming that they were members of God’s family, and citizens in God's Kingdom, because of their lineage, their blood line. But now listen carefully Comrade, to what Jesus said in Gospel of John chapter eight. “Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.” (John 8:39)

You Comrade, “true” Christians are members of God’s family, and citizens of God's kingdom, not because of something we do, but by the work of God the Holy Spirit in convicting our hearts, causing us to believe, and leading us to “repentance.” Hey, we need not undergo the ritual requirements of Jewish law to be physical descendants of Abraham to be included among God’s people, to be a citizen of God's kingdom..

Now having said all of that, I ask this, “just what makes a person a citizen of God's kingdom? Do you know? Comrade, that which makes a person a citizen of God's kingdom is when one becomes a subject of the King of the kingdom. OOH-RA!

Hey, whatever our background, wherever we were born, and how we were raised, does not matter!! Jehovah God offers salvation to “all” who come to faith in Jesus Christ. You see Comrade, our “citizenship” in God’s kingdom is not tied to ethnicity or externals but to humble, childlike faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God the Son. OOH-RA!!

My fellow Comrades, the world is full of people struggling to find where they fit in! But now if you have placed your “faith“ in Jesus Christ, then you have been rescued by Him, you have been freed from shame, and you are now a part of His people. Therefore, that being the case, you are now a citizen of God's family! OOH-RA!!

Sunday morning it is, Comrades! This morning in my morning prayer time, I found my self begging God the Holy Spirit, to lead me in my prayer. To lead me in all that I say and do this day and in the days to follow. And as I was praying God the Holy Spirit began to speak to me in that still small voice, directing me to certain verses of scripture which I found in the Gospel of John..

In chapter fourteen of the Gospel of John Jesus tells us this... “If ye love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him, but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (John 14:15-17)

Hey Comrade, the same Spirit that hovered over the surface of the deep in Genesis chapter one where we read, “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2) This is the same Spirit that we read about in the Gospel of John chapter fourteen verse seventeen! OOH-RA!!

In the Gospel of John, Jesus speaks of God the Holy Spirit as the “Spirit of truth.” Because He always works through “the truth,” which is embodied in, emerged in, assimilated in Jesus Christ and written in the Scriptures. He, God the Holy Spirit, is also referred to as “the Counselor” because He gives wisdom, direction for living, and understanding of the Word of God. He is also called God the Holy Spirit because, He is the third person of the Holy Trinity. Totally separate from sin. OOH-RA!!

You see my fellow Comrades, Jesus told His disciples that He would leave them, but He would remain with them. How could this be, you may be asking? Hey, I am glad you asked! You see Comrade, the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, God Himself, would come after Jesus, God the Son, was gone.

He would come to care for and guide the disciples, and all the followers of Jesus Christ. The “regenerating” power of God, the Spirit of God came on the disciples just before Jesus' ascension, and then God the Holy Spirit was poured out on all the “true” Christians at Pentecost, shortly after Jesus ascended to heaven.

And Comrades, God the Holy Spirit is the very “presence of God” within “all true” Christians. He helps us to live as Jehovah God wants us to live! And He leads, directs, and helps us in building God's church on earth. By faith we can appropriate seize, grab, God the Spirit's power each day. OOH-RA!!

Now in closing keep this in mind. This wonderful Spirit of God is available to live within us when we repent of our sin and, by faith, invite Jesus Christ to come into our life, as our Lord and Savior. But now without the “seal” of God the Holy Spirit's presence in our life, we have no eternal credibility, sincerity, or integrity with God the Father. But with the “seal” of God the Holy Spirit's presence, we have the guarantee of a heavenly home and all the blessings of God in this life.. OOH-RA!!

Protecting veterans who already have ratings does not solve the problem.

There will always be another veteran filing a first claim tomorrow, next year, or ten years from now.

A system that protects only those who got there first is not good enough.
