Happy Labor Day!! ✊ Today workers of the world unite and enjoy a day of rest from our labors. This day was fought for and earned by workers in the 1880's just as the 5 day work week, safe labor conditions, and so many other standards we take for granted. Now as we find the need for more changes for the working class, let's use our collective force to make life better for the majority of us! Enjoy a restful Labor Day and support your fellow workers all year long.

S l o w September has begun! We gathered with the geese. Remembered Saint Wendell Berry. Sang some Simon & Garfunkel. Talked about how to slow down in a system hellbent on extracting as much labor and consumption as possible from us. Meditated with David Whyte's reflection on rest. And shared cornbread communion with all our fellow creatures. 💚 We are so grateful for this beautiful community!

We're Potlucking this Sunday at 4pm! The first Sunday of every month we bring food to share a sacred time together as we share a meal. It's a tradition as old as time and one that keeps our community nourished in body and spirit! Through our shared meal we express gratitude for the abundance of the Spirit's grace and the gifts of the Earth! Bring something to share or just your appetite! There's always plenty for everyone.

Happy September! With a new month comes a new theme. This September we're slowing down. Each Sunday we'll practice moving and speaking slower as we reset to nature's pace of life. 🐌 This week we're Reconceiving Rest with a conversation on all the different types of rest we can practice. We'll also be adding Wendell Berry to our list of Wild Saints. Plus our First Sunday Potluck! Don't miss it, Sunday 4pm at 501 William Law Rd. Windsor.

Likewise, within our own inner spirit, we find a pool of the Creator, a store of Life. Aquifers of grace exist within each of us, available when the world around us feels like a spiritual desert.
