Thank you Union Elementary and Heather Elbin for welcoming me to your 2026-2027 Open House on Monday evening. Always fun to see the children’s excitement as they prepare for their first school year or their next school year.

Last night I attended the Sixth Grade Open House at Driver Junior High. The Open House was well attended, and I shared information about Randolph County Promise with so many. Thank you Driver for having me and thanks to Anna Spencer and Sadie Wright for your hospitality.

Yesterday, An End Of Year appreciation luncheon was held for Promise liaisons. The liaisons are our representatives in the schools who work closely with the students. We truly appreciate all they do. Those in attendance were; Sadie Wright, Amy Hinshaw, Kaitlyn McClung, Wendy Scott, Kathy Moore, Courtney Roach, Amanda Antrim, and Angela Kenworthy. Not attending was Heather Eblen.

So nice to visit Union City Junior/Senior High and meet with the 8th grade participants in the Promise program. Each student was presented with a Certificate with the amount of monies earned through Promise, an Early Scholarship program in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Randolph County. Best of Luck Class of 2030.
