The mission of the EAA is to promote general aviation to all generations, expanding the public's interest in all aspects of aviation and related fields. Congratulations to our chapter member, Liam Knox on completing his CFI-I checkride today! ✈️☁️

Liam recently completed his initial CFI checkride & commercial multi-engine add-on at Purdue University, and finished up his CFI-I at OceanAire in the Cessna 172 at Ocean County (KMJX) today! He can now teach students about IFR flying! 👏

Congratulations to one of our chapter members, Shrinath Patel on successfully completing his ATP multi-engine checkride & receiving his type rating in the Learjet 45 & 75! 💪

Shrinath was a 2024 scholarship recipient & won the 2025 Jake Lewis Aviation Leadership award, and also instructed out of Flying W prior to beginning training on the Learjet. We are very proud of you! 👏

NO DRONE ZONES IN EFFECT 🚨

As you may be aware, Philadelphia is a host for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. These TFRs that you’re seeing are listed as NO DRONE ZONES. The first TFR goes into effect on June 14th for all aircraft, while the fan fest at Lemon Hill park, practice field near the Commodore Barry Bridge, and the team hotels in Philly & Atlantic City are currently in effect for the rest of series.

This week’s VMC club on Tuesday, June 9th has been postponed to Tuesday, June 23rd.

On the other hand, our friends at Millville are hosting a movie night this Tuesday evening at 6 PM called Thunderbolt, which is a documentary filmed in 1945 about the P-47’s involvement in Operation Strangle in Italy during World War II. Guest speaker John Lanza will be speaking also about the history of World War II in his books, Shot Down Over Italy and From One War to Another. It’s free to the public!
