Lead the Way was formed by a group of people looking to make a difference. We were initially strangers looking to help a family of a child suffering from cancer. Through this difficult situation, we formed a bond and lasting friendship vowing to change our community, one day at a time. Our past events include the first fundraiser for Jaxson. This event drew hundreds of attendees and many volunteer
s. It included over 150 Chinese auction baskets, 50/50, a dunk tank and even had appearances by the Philly Phanatic and Franklin as well as families with children of all ages. This little team was responsible for raising thousands of dollars to help Jaxson's family with their difficult situation. In doing this event, we were also able to be apart of some other local fundraisers, one was this past summer for one of our team members who was also battling cancer. Friend's and members of Lead the Way were able to help plan a comedy night benefiting our friend Sue. This event raised money to help with medical bills and expenses. We also helped to organize "Shop for the Cure" a multi-vendor event to raise funds for Alzheimer's. This event has vendor's from the Traveling Vineyard, Origami Owl, Jamberry Nails, Thirty-one, Pink Zebra, Usbourne Books, Accessorize Me, Mary Kay, doTERRA, Tastefully Simple and Wine Glasses by Talia. This event and walk helped to raise thousands of dollars for the Alzheimer's Association. Additionally, we have founded the "Hope for the Holidays" walkathon and angel tree. These events help less fortunate families in Monroe Township. Our walkathon gathers canned items and turkeys to be donated to local families during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our angel tree gathers gifts and clothing for local children so they are able to open gifts on Christmas morning. It is our belief that we are here to help each other out, friends, families, neighbors, strangers, all living in our community and we promise to always do our best to held true to this belief. We are all in this fight together, let us "Lead the Way" to help.
