Guide Dogs of the Desert is looking for caring families and individuals to become Puppy Raisers!
As a puppy raiser, you’ll provide love, basic training, socialization, and a safe home for a future guide dog during the first important months of life. Then our Guide Dog Mobility Instructors take over to prepare them for their life-changing career guiding someone who is blind or visually impaired.

By becoming a Puppy Raiser, you’ll be an integral part of the process that helps students with a visual impairment find independence through the use of a Guide Dog! Your job for 18-24 months is to help the dog learn about the world and interact with humans in various situations.
