As your 2025 Jr. Miss Rodeo White Earth Valley, Ziva Ottesen
I want to say Thank You! And it was and Honor to Represent WEVSC. With this title, I was able to hit the ground running. Traveling across the state of North Dakota and down to Perry, Ga. With a total of 6,211 miles under my feet. l also got to meet some Colorado Rodeo Queens while at Nationals in Denver, Co for 4H Hippology. During this time, I was able to travel and meet many wonderful people!
At the Start of my year I went to the Adrian Foote Sr Rodeo in Newtown and brought in the Baily Pro Rodeo flag on a yellow horse named Cleo! It was a great first Rodeo! I made my way up to Flaxton for their Burke County fair and during the Bulls and Broncs I got to bring in the American flag. The next weekend I made my way over to Strasburg, ND where I was able to help with their pageant and meet many of my sash sisters and bring in the North Dakota flag along with sponsor flags during the Rodeo. During the 4th of July I was in the Stanley and Tioga parades. Then in the middle of July Miss Rodeo Beaver Valley and I got to Travel all the way to Perry GA to compete in the NBHA Worlds.
While not competing, we walked around and met many nice people. When I got back, we traveled to Ashley ND I had the most fun in their showdeo before the rodeo and carrying flags with my sash sisters! The pro rodeo cowboys and cowgirls made the weekend special as they rode hard in their events. At the beginning of August i made my way to the Medora rodeo where got to stay with my sash sisters and was shown around town thanks to Marla. I had a great time walking the street alongside Miss Rodeo ND and Miss Rodeo ND Lady-in-waiting. I got my amazing Saddle Thanks to DAland and was able to open it with Adam, I love it so much! My little Miss along with Miss Beaver Valley and I were in the Farm festival Parade in Tioga and after handed out autographs to cute little cowgirls and boys. September I was invited to bring in the American flag for the ND Equine Association along with my Little Miss and Miss Rodeo Beaver Valley. October brought me to Minot for a cool event for The Cowboy Hall of Fame Bowling with my Little Miss and some past royalty. White Earth had the Draft horse finals in WE where My Little Miss, and l got to hand out prizes to the winners. November brought a fun night of Turkey bingo in Tioga with my Little Miss and Miss Beaver Valley handing out turkeys to the winners. Then in January I made my way to Killdeer to the introduction of Miss North Dakota Jaylynn Hicks, l am excited for her! That's when I traveled to CO for Nationals where we had some down time and went to the stock yards where I met my CO sash sisters, it was a chilly winter but thankfully we had the White Earth Frigid Fun days to keep us busy, at the end of the series we helped with handing out prizes to the winners. April brought me to my hometown to help bring in the American flag Abrahamson Rodeo Company Bull Bash. And lastly, I made my way down to Watford city where I got to help with bringing in the Sponsor flags at the Mckenzie County Ag Expo Rodeo, I look forward to spending some more time down there.
As my year comes to an end i would love to give a huge THANK YOU to all my sponsors and supporters! You guys made my year possible and a huge success.
