This Tuesday April 28th, at 6PM, Whatcom County Council is voting on a new jail budget. Please join us in showing up, wearing green, and making a public comment demanding behavioral health services be fully funded before the jail!

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! With the surge of anti-trans legislation, being visible is not enough. Trans people deserve to be safe, welcome and valued everywhere.

Three months into 2026, over 700 anti-trans bills have been introduced. Be loud in your support for trans rights and trans lives, today and everyday.

Ramadan Mubarak! 🌙 Ramadan is a holy time of festivities and community, but it can also feel isolating for students who aren’t represented at school or in the curriculum. Fortunately, there is a lot educators can do to support Muslim students during Ramadan!

🌙 Offer alternative space for students during lunch, and avoid food centered activities or lessons.
🌙 Offer time and a quite space designated for prayer.
🌙 Teach your students about Ramadan and Islamic traditions!! Even if you don’t have Muslim students in your class, education is a crucial step to building empathy and understanding.
