“Why do you often find these ticks on the top of your head?” Good question, and NO, they don’t jump or fall out of trees. In fact, we don’t know one tick biologist who thinks ticks fall out of trees onto heads. But they do crawl upwards after latching onto a host, and the head is where the skin is thinner and richer in blood capillaries on most hosts.
