For the last school day of the year we wanted to share that the Hayes Elementary’s Bee Kind Pollinator Garden has officially been certified as a Monarch Waystation through the Monarch Watch program!
This certification recognizes our school’s commitment to creating and maintaining habitat for monarch butterflies and other important pollinators. Our garden provides milkweed, nectar plants, shelter, and safe spaces that help support monarchs during their incredible migration journey.
This achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our students, Green Team members, staff, families, and community supporters who have helped our garden grow over the years.
Building the Bee Kind Pollinator Garden was a Messengers of Peace service project for Pack 729 and we were honored to have had the opportunity to build it.
The Bee Kind Pollinator Garden is more than just a beautiful space, it is an outdoor classroom where students learn about nature, sustainability, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting pollinators.
We are proud to continue growing a greener future for our school and community, one butterfly at a time!
