🇨🇿 Miss West gets great opportunities to represent our community in various events, just to name a few:
- WestFest Parade
- The Chamber of Commerce Trunk or Treat
- Mr. and Mrs. Claus photos
- Business Grand Openings & ribbon cuttings
- Baylor Homecoming Parade

🇨🇿 Miss West also gets a $1,000 scholarship from the West Chamber of Commerce

ATTENTION WEST and SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES - AMERICA WILL TURN 250 YEARS OLD IN A FEW WEEKS - LETS GET TOGETHER AND HAVE SOME FUN!
The West Police Department with assistance from friends and neighbors will be hosting a Golf-cart/UTV Train to celebrate our Nation's 250th birthday on July 4th - only three Saturdays away.
We will meet at the VFW Post 4819 West, TX or Westfest RV Field right next to the Post on South Reagan Street - Saturday July 4th at 10am - we will pull out around 10:30am and cruise North on Reagan in a follow the leader style procession. The route will not be as long as our annual Christmas Train and we will likely only cross Oak Street once - but we will drive through the West Rest Haven parking lot for our Seniors to enjoy and end the route at the City Park (Parker's Park). At the park we can enjoy hotdogs (maybe some sausage wraps) and cold water. We hope many of you out there will join us and many others can enjoy as we cruise by. Flying Old Glory will be the standard - but feel free to decorate as much or little as you would like. I will likely being playing my patriotic-music too loud - so forgive me in advance.

JoAnn’s Bridal Boutique began in 1969 when JoAnn Nors opened the business from her home with a dream of helping brides feel beautiful on one of the most important days of their lives.
What started as a small hometown bridal shop, quickly became a trusted name for generations of brides throughout Central Texas.

Now, 54 years later, JoAnn’s granddaughter Allison, proudly carries on that same passion and legacy after purchasing the business and continuing the family tradition. While the boutique has grown and evolved over the years, the heart behind it remains the same. Allison and her staff truly care about creating unforgettable moments and helping every bride feel celebrated, confident, and cared for.

HOT Shred is teaming up with the West Chamber of Commerce to host a FREE community document shred event on Saturday, May 30th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Pointwest Bank.

Bring a box of your old documents that you want shredded and Heart of Texas Shred will shred them for FREE! 📑 ♻️

🐖 Kid’s Pork Chop cookoff has a turn in of 7:00pm Friday 5/22

Turn in times for the BBQ competition are as follows for Saturday 5/23:

12pm: Beans
1pm: Chicken
2pm: Ribs
3pm: Brisket

Proceeds from the cookoff are given as high school senior scholarships in memory of Cody!

🚘 CAR SHOW:
8:00am - 12:00pm Saturday
Judging will take place between 9:00-11:00am

📍 In the front of the VFW

Our next Chamber Member Highlight is Old Corner Drug💊🩹

Located on the corner of Oak and Main here in West, Old Corner Drug has remained in the same building, and has been a staple in the West community since the late 1800s!
Their services were also expanded to the Greater Waco area in 2022 when they opened their second location, Old Corner Drug Waco.

They proudly offer many services to the community such as, prescription services, OTC and HME items, immunizations, medication therapy management, and so much more!

Thank you Old Corner Drug for being a Chamber member and for providing the type of service that can only be found at a hometown pharmacy. Our community is very lucky to have you! 🏫
