Wilber's Rescue Foundation is a support-driven 501c3 animal rescue focused on prevention first.

Our mission is to prevent pet surrenders, reduce unwanted litters, and provide compassionate rescue for cats and dogs when prevention is not enough.

We have officially made it down to three boys: Scotch, Soda & Louie! These handsome guys came to us needing a little extra time and care, and after 30 days of rehab and getting all their vet work taken care of, they are finally ready for the next chapter!

They’re classic kittens through and through: playful, energetic, curious, and always ready to investigate whatever is happening around them. They’re also great with other cats and dogs, which makes them excellent candidates for homes with furry siblings.

When it comes to people, these boys are just a tiny bit on the shy side. After spending a month receiving medications and lots of handling during rehab, they’re still learning that humans can be fun and that not every person is going to show up with a syringe. 😂 They aren’t feral, they just need a little patience while they get comfortable with their new people.

Once they settle into a home and realize they’re safe, we expect them to continue coming out of their shells and showing more of their personalities.

Rescuers are EXHAUSTED. I’m so sick of blatant back yard breeding and the support it gets from the public. I’d LOVE to show these peoples names in the hopes they’d feel some public shame but I know half the public doesn’t give two sh*ts about how unethical back yard breeding is, what bad shape some of these dogs are in, or the fact that they are paying full price for MUTTS- theyd still go find these people to purchase these very animals 🙄

We are so tired yall! The public literally begs for rescues help constantly without offering any help for vetting or fostering and in the same breathe complacently watch their friends back yard breed their dogs, purchase said back yard bred dogs and never get their animals fixed. We’re tired. If you see dogs being euthanized in shelters there better not be an ounce of outrage because the public is the direct cause of this. Your friends that are breeding MUTTS are the direct cause of it. You not calling them out is the direct cause of it. You, the public, are the problem. We won’t fix this until yall start caring.

Meet Latte! ☕🐾

Latte is the kind of kitten who has absolutely no interest in letting you do anything unsupervised. She is incredibly curious, delightfully nosey, and always needs to know what’s going on, where you’re going, and whether she can come too. Spoiler: she can. In fact, she probably will. 😂

This sweet 4-month-old calico is playful, brave, outgoing, and wonderfully affectionate. She loves being involved in whatever her people are doing and will happily follow you around the house like your tiny, furry shadow.

And then there are dogs. Latte LOVES dogs. She will happily curl up with a canine friend and seems to think every dog is just a very large, warm cat-shaped bed. She also adores other cats and loves to play with them before settling down for a cozy cuddle if they’re willing to put up with her.

Latte has been fully vetted, including all age-appropriate vaccines and her spay. She would love a home with plenty of companionship, whether that comes in the form of people, cats, dogs, or preferably all of the above.

If you’re looking for a social, affectionate little calico who wants to be involved in everything, Latte is ready to clock in for her new job as your full-time household supervisor. ☕🐱

ADOPTION PENDING 🥳

Meet Minnie!

Minnie is a very vocal girl who has a LOT to say, and she is more than happy to tell you all about her day. Whether she's giving you the latest neighborhood gossip, asking what you're making for dinner, or simply making sure you haven't forgotten that she exists, Minnie believes conversations are better when she is involved.

She is also a proud, fluffy girl with a big appetite and a serious appreciation for her groceries. Minnie loves her food almost as much as she loves her people, which is saying something because this girl is extremely affectionate. She would absolutely love a person who enjoys a cuddly cat and is prepared to provide plenty of pets, snuggles, and attention.

When she's not busy talking or demanding affection, Minnie enjoys the finer things in life, including a good nap and playing with a humble hair tie. She doesn't need fancy toys to be entertained. Give her a hair tie and she'll show you that sometimes the simplest things are the best things.

Minnie gets along very well with both dogs and cats, provided they understand her boundaries. She is perfectly happy to share her home with other animals, but she does not appreciate being tackled, wrestled, or subjected to an unsolicited feline WWE match. She prefers friends who are respectful of her personal space and understand that playtime should have reasonable limits.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, food-loving, highly conversational cat who will keep you company, keep you entertained, and probably keep you informed, Minnie may be your girl.

I cannot pretend to know the way rescue works. When Latte was too young to be adopted we posted photos of her in the nursery and were inundated with people interested in her. Now she is fully vetted and past being old enough to go to her new home and now not a single interest in her 😅 make it make sense yall? When we don’t have calico kitties we are swamped with requests for them and when we finally have one ready to go, crickets.
