PTA will be looking for volunteers for field day. Please check in at door 16 (closet to the playground) before going to your assigned area. Anyone under the age of 18 must check with PTA or Dr Frawley to volunteer in specific areas prior to the day of. Thanks so much! Here’s to hoping for GREAT weather!

“As you may know, all visitors and volunteers at West Elementary need to be screened prior to coming into the building to work with students. Each person is required to have his or her NYS license scanned using our visitor management system, Raptor.

Because we are lucky to have many volunteers to help with Field Day, it is necessary to pre-scan IDs to save time at the beginning of Field Day.

Scan ahead of June 18th --

Please come to Door 21 between 8:30 and 4:00pm, Tuesday, June 9th through Tuesday, June 16th to have your ID scanned.

On Field Day, you will be able to pick up your pre-printed visitor badge at Door 16, near the playground.

Please note that the Raptor system was reset on June 1st, meaning you may need to have your ID re-scanned.

If you cannot stop in to have your ID scanned ahead --

On June 18th, come into the Main Office, Door 21. You should come early to beat the lines -- the office will be open at 8:00am.

Expect delays. You WILL need to wait until your ID can be scanned.

With your visitor badge printed, you will be directed to the check-in table at Door 16, near the playground.

DOLLAR DAY: This Friday is dress like a book character day!

Some fourth grade students wrote persuasive letters to the West Seneca Public Library; giving both compliments and also making some suggestions for improvements. One suggestion was to create more flexible seating areas in the children’s part of the library. Another suggestion was to create sensory bins that could be used and also checked out. After receiving the letters, Ms. Sieg from the library reached out and we teamed up to hopefully make it happen with the help of West Elementary!
