The Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation, along with other patient advocacy groups, were invited to the North American Pediatric Aplastic Anemia Consortium (NAAPAC)'s Scientific Symposium, "Bone Marrow Failure and Myelodysplastic Syndromes: From Discoveries to Future Strategies," hosted by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on October 25 to 27. Many thanks to the meeting's hosts and organizers and a big THANK YOU to Janet Pereira, Executive Director of Diamond Blackfan Anemia Canada, for presenting our mutual mission!

For only the second time in the American Red Cross' 145-year history, a national blood emergency was declared in late July 2026. The beautiful Brown family shared their story of how they have continued to help promote blood donations. In addition, the family also raises money for the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation to help fund research to find better treatment options and hopefully, a cure for their daughter and all individuals with DBAS. We thank them for their dedication and willingness to help us continue our mission. We need and appreciate the support of our DBAS families and friends. Thank you!
