West Haven Community House The West Haven Community House is a non-profit organization providing services to children, families

Our current programs and services include:

** Head Start (comprehensive preschool for low-income children);
** School Age Child Care (before and after school care for elementary school children; summer program);
** Positive Youth Development (after-school enrichment program for elementary school children);
** Community Connections (community integration day activities for adults with developmental disabilities), and,
** Residential Services for adults with developmental disabilities.

Our Avenues program from Community Connections hosted a Fishing Derby for our Head Start Classrooms. The poles, made of pool noodles, held a magnet that "caught" cans of tuna donated by staff. They also read the Dr. Suess Classic One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. The cans are heading over to WHEAT.
