Building Our Village Together Nonprofit Organization We are currently operating from charter locations until we can secure a permanent location for use.

Our mission is to nourish and empower the underserved members of our community by providing high-quality holiday meals and equipping youth transitioning out of foster care with the essential culinary skills needed for independent living. Building Our Village Together Nonprofit Organization provides social support, community service & educational field trips, career, cooking, and cleaning classes t

o young ladies ages 12-25. We also provide services to our community such as nursing home and jail visits, feeding the homeless, community events, Parenting, Domestic Violence and Anger Management classes.

Braiding academy goal: expand opportunities

LANCASTER — A local nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people through braiding education, entrepreneurship and mentorship is inviting the community to support its mission during an upcoming Chick-fil-A Spirit Night fundraiser on Thursday.
Founded by Antelope Valley entrepreneur and beauty industry professional Pashyon Jackson, Boss Kids Braiding Academy serves youth ages 7 to 17 by teaching braiding techniques while also helping students develop leadership skills, confidence and entrepreneurial mindsets. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help provide scholarships for the academy’s summer camp and educational programs, ensuring more local children have access to enrichment opportunities regardless of financial circumstances.

Today, I am officially celebrating 44 beautiful years!

I am stepping into this new chapter with a heart full of gratitude. Whether I’m helping a family find their forever home, ensuring a business is running “decent and in order,” or serving through the Building Our Village Together nonprofit organization where we have the privilege of feeding the community hot meals on the holidays.
