Today was something special. 💙

The Wendell Rams were truly honored to be part of NC SportsCon right here in Wendell. Being invited into a space that celebrates the heart of sports in our community means everything to our program.

But what made it unforgettable… was witnessing the Lifetime Achievement Award being renamed after our very own Coach Tookie Gullie. A moment that reflects the impact, dedication, and legacy he poured into every player, every game, and this entire community.

A heartfelt highlight of the day was hearing from his wife, Debra Gullie, whose words truly captured the man, the mentor, and the legacy behind the name. Her speech reminded everyone in the room just how deep Coach Tookie’s impact runs—not just in football, but in life.

Coach Tookie’s name will forever stand as a symbol of excellence, leadership, and love for the game. We couldn’t be prouder to call him ours.

We also want to extend a big congratulations to this year’s recipient, Kelley Connolly, well deserved and a true reflection of excellence in our community.

Thank you to everyone who made today possible. Wendell showed up in a big way. 💙🏈
