Tomorrow night, Legacy Night Lights closes out an INCREDIBLE summer the only way we know how — together!

What started as an idea became something truly special: basketball, mentorship, leadership, laughter, life lessons and COMMUNITY. And we couldn’t be more grateful.

A HUGE thank you to the Zebulon Boys & Girls Club‼️ Every mentor, speaker, volunteer, sponsor, parent, community partner and every single person who gave their time, resources, food, support or simply showed up.
YOU HELPED MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

And most importantly, to our YOUTH — thank you for showing up, participating, competing, learning and allowing us to pour into you. This was always about YOU! 💪🏾

While there may be NO LEGACY NIGHT LIGHTS TONIGHT, the IMPACT from last Friday is still lingering!

From walking into a room with confidence and OWNING IT, to eye contact, firm handshakes and tying a tie, Mr. Jason Smith reminded our young people how to show up as exactly who they are…

LEADERS, NOT FOLLOWERS!

A special thank you to Ms. Consuela Chapman, representing The Carter Clinic and their Community Outreach, for stopping by and showing love to our youth, and to everyone for their generous food and drink donations that kept our kids fed!

And to EVERY person who continues to just show up, coach, mentor and pour in and make an impact, THANK YOU!

Continued thank you to our Zebulon Boys & Girls Club and their staff for their hard work and support of this program. This is how we build legacy ON AND OFF the court.

Legacy isn't just something you leave behind, it's something you build forward.

That's the heart behind Legacy Night Lights. We're intentional about bringing legacy builders from our own community to pour into our youth both on and off the court.

Tomorrow, we're excited to welcome Jason Smith, a former U.S. Army Drill Sergeant, Senior Intelligence Officer, Steve Harvey Mentoring Program mentor, cybersecurity executive, real estate investor, and Town of Zebulon Planning & Zoning Board member.

Jason will challenge our young men to grow in professionalism and self-respect through practical lessons on tying a tie, giving a confident handshake, making eye contact, speaking with confidence, and representing themselves well.

Then... IT'S GAME TIME! 🏀 🔥

The competition continues as our youth battle it out on the court, with dinner provided by our incredible local sponsors and community partners.

This is what community looks like‼️This is what legacy looks like‼️

The lights will be on. The mentorship will be real. The competition will be fierce. Let's GOOOO!

Our kids have big dreams, and success starts with learning how to manage it well. That's why Legacy Night Lights is excited to welcome Ricky McMillan, Financial Coach with McMillan & Associates. With more than 25 years of experience, he'll be sharing practical tools to help our youth build strong financial habits for the future.

Then you know how we do it... after the mentorship session, it's game time! 🏀🔥 Who's taking over the court this week?

🔥 TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! 🔥

Legacy Night Lights is back from 6:00–9:00 PM for teens ages 13–18, and tonight we're honored to welcome an extraordinary guest mentor!

Joining us is Brandeshawn "Brande" Harris, a nationally recognized public safety executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience. Having led correctional operations across North Carolina and beyond, Brande has dedicated her career to developing leaders, creating positive change, and helping others reach their full potential.

Tonight, she'll be sharing powerful lessons on leadership, discipline, accountability, resilience, and making the right choices, the kind of wisdom that can impact our youth far beyond the basketball court.

And of course... the competition continues! 👀🏀

Last week the girls came out and made a statement! The boys have been talking all week, so tonight we'll find out if they can back it up! 🔥💪🏾

It's going to be another unforgettable evening filled with basketball, mentorship, leadership, and community.

🏀🔥 TONIGHT, WE'RE BACK ! 🔥🏀

Legacy Night Lights is back for Session 2, and we're taking things to the next level!

Tonight isn't just about basketball, it's about building stronger athletes, stronger minds, and stronger leaders.

Our teens will participate in an exciting Strength & Performance Training session, learning why physical fitness, mental toughness, discipline, and consistency are essential to reaching their goals on and off the court.

We're beyond excited to welcome our special guest, the one and only who will be pouring into our youth and showing them what it truly takes to elevate their game!

This past Friday was the kick off to Legacy Night Lights and it was truly one for the books! With 32 amazing teens coming out to be part of something bigger than basketball, we left feeling amazed!

A huge thank you to our very first Power Hour speaker, Mr. Chris Pulley, who challenged our youth to understand that true leadership isn't defined by what others say about you, it's defined by the work, discipline, and determination you put in to achieve your goals.

The evening was filled with basketball, mentorship, food, laughter, and community. Even when a storm rolled through and the power went out, it didn't stop the mission. If anything, it reminded us what community is all about. The lights may have gone out, but the purpose never did.

A special thank you to the Zebulon Boys & Girls Club for your incredible hospitality, coaching, refereeing, and unwavering support throughout the evening.

Kyle K. Adams and I are incredibly grateful to every parent, volunteer, mentor, supporter, and community member who helped make Night One a success.

And we're just getting started...
