Attention all singers: We are gauging interest for our new Pride Choir that we are looking to start for the end of this year.

Under the choir direction of Cody Losinger, we will be singing some fantastic songs that celebrate joy, community, and most of all pride. With rehearsals throughout the year, we would like to have a performance during the annual Pride event in 2027.

A Message from the LGBTQ+ Ministry Team

The LGBTQ+ Ministry Team joins our siblings across the Church and around the world in mourning the passing of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was not only a beloved musical icon, but a source of hope, compassion, and welcome for generations of LGBTQ+ people. For many who knew rejection or felt they had no family, her kindness and generosity offered a reminder that they were worthy of love and belonging.

Her life and work reminded us of something deeply rooted in our faith: love has the power to welcome, heal, and bring people home.

We give thanks for Dolly’s extraordinary life, her music, her generosity, and the joy she brought to so many. May all who grieve her passing find comfort in the love and community she helped inspire.

We will always love you, Dolly. May you rest in peace and rise in glory. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Join us for a special Dolly Parton Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 26, 2026!

🕡 Doors Open: 6:30 PM
🎤 Show Begins: 7:00 PM
Location will be revealed soon!
Show will be PG and Kid Friendly.

We’re coming together to celebrate a woman whose music, generosity, kindness, and big heart have touched generations.

Dolly has long been a friend and supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, and we want to remember and celebrate all that she has brought into the world and into so many of our lives.

Through the power of drag, music, laughter, and love, we’ll celebrate Dolly the best way we know how.

As part of this celebration of life, proceeds from the show will support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, continuing her commitment to putting books into the hands of children.

As Dolly once said, “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” 🌈✨

🖤 Another Day, Another Legend Gone… 🖤

Tioga County Pride joins countless fans in mourning Tim Curry, an unforgettable icon whose Frank-N-Furter brought camp, courage, queerness, and unapologetic fabulousness to generations.

For many of us, The Rocky Horror Picture Show was more than a cult classic. It was a place where the outsiders belonged, where being different was celebrated, and where we learned to “Don’t dream it. Be it.”

So tonight, we put on the fishnets, turn up the Time Warp, and raise a toast to a true legend.

Thank you, Tim Curry, for helping generations find the courage to be exactly who they are. 🖤

In Loving Memory of Dolly

Today, Tioga County Pride joins countless people around the world in mourning the loss of Dolly Parton.

Dolly was more than a musical icon. She was a fierce ally, an LGBTQ+ icon, and a mother to so many people who didn’t have a family that embraced them for who they were. Through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering message of love, she reminded us that there is always room at the table.

To those who found comfort in her music, her words, and her example: we see you, and we grieve with you.

We will always love you, Dolly. Thank you for showing the world what it means to lead with love. 🏳️‍🌈💔

🌍🏳️‍🌈 Travel Tuesday: Pride Around the World

🇧🇷 Stop #4: Brazil

Our August journey ends in Brazil, a country known for its vibrant culture, passionate communities, and one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world.

Brazil’s LGBTQ+ community has played a powerful role in advocating for visibility, acceptance, and equality. In 2011, Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court recognized same-sex civil unions, and in 2013, same-sex marriage was formally recognized nationwide. Today, LGBTQ+ Brazilians continue working toward safety, inclusion, and equal rights.

🌈 LGBTQ+ Fun Fact: São Paulo Pride celebrated its 30th edition in 2026, bringing millions of people together to celebrate LGBTQ+ visibility, community, and advocacy. It set the Guinness World Record for the largest Pride parade in 2006 and broke its own record in 2009 with an estimated 4 million attendees! 🎉
