Jessica Seeliger - USD 353 School Board Member Mom to Harper and Holden. An advocate for my children and yours. I was elected on November 7, 2023. And will take my oath on January 11, 2024.

I am Jessica Seeliger and I am Mom to two amazing kids, Harper an 8th grader at Wellington Middle School, and Holden, a 5th grader at Eisenhower Elementary. I am ran for school board because I believe they, and all USD 353 students, deserve the opportunity to receive a quality education and fulfilling school experience right here in Wellington. As a parent I have been very involved in every aspect of my kiddos’ school life and have seen firsthand where our district is falling short. As a board member, I want to be an advocate for parents and teachers who want answers, who want change and who want to see our kids succeed both in school and after graduation. I am an advocate for our children who deserve an education that will prepare them up for life after high school, no matter what their plans are.

Our drama department is excited to present Fools by Neil Simon! Get ready for a hilarious night of comedy as we bring this wonderfully quirky show to the stage. We kick things off NEXT WEEKEND with Cast 1, followed by Cast 2 the following weekend! Each cast brings its own personality and energy to the show, and we can’t wait for you to see all their hard work come to life.

Sorry for the late notice (from me, it's been on the district site since Wednesday). The board will have a special meeting tonight at 6 pm to continue the discussion of district restructuring. The meeting will be live streamed. I will add a link to the comments when it's available.

The USD 353 BOE will hold a Special Meeting at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 19th, at Central Office to discuss school restructuring. This meeting will be live-streamed and is open to the public.

The regular monthly meeting of the BOE is tonight, Oct 12, at 6 pm at Central Office.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 13, there will be a second hearing on the proposed plan to close an elementary school at 6 pm at the high school.

Just a few reminders for tomorrow’s game against Buhler!

We will ask the kids playing in the end zone to either go sit with their parents or head to the tennis courts to play (with parents permission). This causes congestion and safety concerns around that sidewalk from the visiting booth and visiting side to the concession stand area.

We will have a lot of extra cameras and media as this is a big game tomorrow!

Let’s show up and show out and cheer on the Dukes to a victory! GO BIG RED!

The USD 353 Board of Education has scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00 pm at the WHS auditorium. The purpose is to discuss a proposal to close Washington Elementary School after the 2026-27 school year and adopt the following school boundaries. The meeting will be open to the public and will be live-streamed.
