Women's Club of Webster thanked blood donors with homemade cookies

Donors visiting the American Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, Friday, Oct. 9 at the Webster Public Library were treated to delicious homemade cookies provided by the Women’s Club of Webster. Club members helped staff the canteen, serving up the cookies and offering congenial conversation and a friendly word of thanks to those giving the gift of life.

For more than a decade, the Women’s Club of Webster has been a staple at the American Red Cross blood drives, staffing the canteen twice a year, in April and October. The club’s homemade cookies have become such a local legend that many donors actually schedule their appointments around those drives, proving that a little “homemade touch” goes a long way in fueling the spirit of giving.
