A special thank you to HRSA for making this training possible, as well as Magnolia House - Waycross Area Shelter for Abused Persons, Inc. for generously providing lunch and hosting the venueโ€”we truly appreciate the support!

As we wrapped up Mental Health Awareness Month with our final Child & Adolescent event, one thing is for sure โ€” it was a HIT! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our amazing staff, kids, families, and community members came out ready to have FUN while spreading awareness about the importance of mental health. From great music ๐ŸŽถ to FREE shaved ice ๐Ÿง, hotdogs ๐ŸŒญ, delicious lemonade ๐Ÿ‹, and SOOO many activities for all ages โ€” there was something for everyone to enjoy!

The dunking booth was a crowd favorite ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜‚, and even some of our local firefighters joined in on the fun during the sack race game! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. We hope everyone had the BEST time celebrating, connecting, and supporting mental health awareness together. ๐Ÿ’š

We are especially grateful for Dโ€™Yonne McClain and the incredible presentation she created, โ€œTiny Humans, Big Feelings.โ€ The presentation offered meaningful insight into the realities many preschool-aged children face and provided valuable tools and strategies to help school staff better support children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.

It was an amazing opportunity to have open conversations about understanding childrenโ€™s emotions, building supportive environments, and helping little ones navigate big feelings in healthy ways.

Thank you again to the wonderful staff at Daffodil Preschool for your partnership, dedication, and commitment to supporting the children and families in your care. We truly appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow together! ๐ŸŒŸ

What an amazing experience at our most recent RCORP (Rural Communities Opioid Response Program) Consortium meeting! ๐Ÿ’™

One of the most impactful moments came from our very own Jason Wilkerson, who shared:

โ€œOne of the things I love most about working at Unison is that every meeting includes a Peer at the table helping guide decisions. That is such a powerful step in the right direction because it ensures the choices being made truly reflect what is best for the individuals, families, and communities we serve.โ€

At Unison, we believe lived experience matters. We are proud to have Certified Peer Specialists from many walks of life, including Parent Peers, Jail In-Reach Peers, Youth Peers, and more, all helping guide conversations, shape programs, and support our community every day.

Our Peer Specialists bring compassion, understanding, and firsthand experience that inspire hope and create meaningful change for the individuals and families we serve. Their voices truly make a difference.

Thank you to our incredible staff for your passion, dedication, and commitment to recovery and healing in our communities! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are so thankful to have been a part of The Bridge: Street Mental Health Outreach in Blackshear! Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to be there and connect with members of the community while helping spread awareness and support for mental health.

Events like this are so important because they help bridge the gap between individuals and the resources, support, and care they deserve. We are grateful for every organization, professional, and community member who came together to make a difference. Thank you for allowing us to stand beside you in support, care, and outreach! ๐Ÿ’™
