The Wauconda Fire Cadet Program is Evolving!
To provide an even better training experience, we're introducing a new two-year program structure.
• New minimum age: 16 years old
• Applications accepted every other year
• Limited to 15 cadets per class
• First-year tuition: $500 (includes uniform)
We encourage anyone 16-20 years old interested in the fire service to apply. The program is not limited to starting at age 16.
Please note that Cadets must complete at least one year in the program to be eligible for consideration for fire academy sponsorship.
These changes will provide more hands-on training, smaller class sizes, and an even stronger learning experience for future firefighters.
