Our first-ever Signs of Hope Walk was a success! 🎉

On Saturday, our community came together in Augusta to walk along the Kennebec River Rail Trail and share a powerful message: mental health matters, recovery is possible, and no one should face life's struggles alone.

Rain and wind couldn't stop us! Community members, volunteers, KBH staff, and some very good dogs showed up to make this morning truly special. From Hope Village activities to the moving signs of hope and recovery along the trail, it was a day we will never forget.

A huge thank you to our sponsors — Fowler's Roofing, Kennebec Technologies, Spurwink, DNK Select, and Maine State Credit Union — and to every individual who fundraised and supported this event. You made it possible.

We had a blast at our film screening of Inside Out 2 this Saturday at Johnson Hall! Dozens of volunteers and hundreds of families and educators joined us for the movie and a discussion about big emotions, followed by prizes and swag bags. All of the gingerbread houses are in! We had 13 teams compete in our gingerbread house contest and each house is truly unique! Everything from a Malibu Barbie Gingerbread House to a ROAR Recovery Center House to a HR hut!

Now staff will vote on their favorite house and determine who will go home with the prize! We also have submissions for our Holiday Door Decorating Contest ending today, so stay tuned to check out all of the doors our staff decorated!
