At Kennebec Behavioral Health, recovery is not something people have to walk through alone.

Our Opioid Health Home is built around human connection: bringing together medical treatment, counseling, peer recovery support, patient navigation, and whole-person care for people living with opioid use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Currently serving 111 people across Somerset and Kennebec Counties, OHH maintains a 94% retention rate, a reflection of a team that keeps showing up, removes barriers, and walks beside people every step of the way. 💙

Big news for our region! 🎉 Thomas College is launching a new Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling this Fall 2026, and we at KBH couldn't be more excited.

Thomas College's two-year, low-residency program was developed in partnership with Kennebec Behavioral Health and other regional providers, designed specifically for working adults and built to get graduates into rural Maine communities fast.

Our first-ever Signs of Hope Walk was a success! 🎉

On Saturday, our community came together in Augusta to walk along the Kennebec River Rail Trail and share a powerful message: mental health matters, recovery is possible, and no one should face life's struggles alone.

Rain and wind couldn't stop us! Community members, volunteers, KBH staff, and some very good dogs showed up to make this morning truly special. From Hope Village activities to the moving signs of hope and recovery along the trail, it was a day we will never forget.

A huge thank you to our sponsors — Fowler's Roofing, Kennebec Technologies, Spurwink, DNK Select, and Maine State Credit Union — and to every individual who fundraised and supported this event. You made it possible.

All of the gingerbread houses are in! We had 13 teams compete in our gingerbread house contest and each house is truly unique! Everything from a Malibu Barbie Gingerbread House to a ROAR Recovery Center House to a HR hut!

Now staff will vote on their favorite house and determine who will go home with the prize! We also have submissions for our Holiday Door Decorating Contest ending today, so stay tuned to check out all of the doors our staff decorated!
