SMF is proud to be a partner in Worcester County Public Schools MD Community Schools Initiative and to have participated in yesterday's Community Schools Showcase alongside state, county, nonprofit, and business leaders who are all working toward the shared goal of ensuring every student has the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Maryland State Department of Education Maryland's Community Schools model recognizes that student success extends beyond the classroom. By bringing schools, families, community organizations, and local partners together, Community Schools help remove barriers, connect students with resources, and create pathways for every child to reach their full potential.
That philosophy aligns perfectly with the mission of the Simmons Memorial Foundation. While schools provide the foundation for academic success, SMF is proud to help develop students' potential beyond the classroom through college access programming, scholarships, mentorship, and career exploration.
We believe it truly takes community to prepare young people for bright futures, and we're honored to stand alongside Worcester County Public Schools and so many dedicated partners in making that vision a reality.
