DC has been providing music programs for young people to learn, grow, and use the power of their communities since 2008. Working at the intersection of art and activism, their Summer Camps center and uplift girls and non-binary youth, especially Black and Brown youth, and provide spaces for young people to rise up and rock out together.

You get Hat Band, the ultimate musical experiment! After two months of writing, rehearsing, and bonding, these brand-new bands hit the stage to perform a 10-minute set, including an original song. This show centers Disabled-, female-, POC-, q***r-, and trans folx* in a welcoming, no-pressure environment where creativity and community take center stage. And the best part? All proceeds go to Girls Rock! DC, funding music education for the next generation.
