We took an adventure over to the Farmers Market SW to talk to Ochoa Produce, who comes every Saturday to The Wharf from Warsaw Va. Roberto takes great pride in feeding communities all around the DMV. He recommends Tajin on many veggies! Don’t ask him if he likes eggplants though. 😆

🎃 Your closet called. It wants you to let go. Bring ’em to SW Swap Day! 👻👚♻️

Arena Stage gave us some costumes for Halloween for your choosing. For a sneak peek we used our plushy duck as a model 🐥. She’s a flapper, a princess, someone who loves vests, and potentially Elizabeth Warren.

Swap your gently used clothes and costumes for something new to you — without spending a dime.

🛋️ Your bus stop just got a serious upgrade, and we want you there to see it in person.

Meet Living Rooms, six new public art installations bringing love seats, floor lamps, and chairs to bus stops across Southwest DC. These vibrant steel sculptures aren’t just eye candy. They’re solving a real problem: many of these stops have never had a bench or shelter, in a neighborhood where 1 in 5 neighbors is a senior and 1 in 5 identifies as disabled.

Come celebrate with us at the ribbon cutting!

Phew—that storm caused a WILD few days around the neighborhood. Nonetheless, the Ambassadors showed up ready to roll and take care of fallen trees and branches so SW remains accessible for all. 💪
