Feeling stuck? Doubting yourself? You’re not alone. 💛

Moving forward starts with simply choosing to believe in yourself — even before you feel completely ready.

Inhale confidence. Exhale doubt. ✨

This is your sign to take the next step. You don’t have to have it all figured out to keep moving.

🐘✨ Some experiences stay with you forever.

Imagine learning about culture, identity, leadership, and the world and then finding yourself watching elephants roam freely in the wild. 🌍💛

Through our Roots to Rise (U.S.) and Pathways to Purpose (SA) programs, IAWA creates culturally grounded global experiences to give our youth the opportunity to explore the world, expand their perspective, build leadership skills, and connect with the global African Diaspora.

And yes… sometimes the classroom looks a little like this. 🐘😉

We stand in solidarity with the women and communities affected by gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa.

We believe every woman and girl deserves to live with safety, dignity, freedom, and respect.

We mourn the lives lost and support those calling for an end to violence against women. We stand with women and for safer communities. 🇿🇦

✨ Meet Elaina Scott, our Social Media Marketing Intern!

An IAWA alumna and proud member of the 2023 Morafe Cohort from Prince George’s County, Maryland, Elaina’s journey with IAWA has come full circle.

After serving as an IAWA Ambassador, she’s now behind the scenes helping tell the IAWA story, promote the program, and share new opportunities with the next generation of young people. 📱💛

At I Am We Are, we’re committed to creating opportunities that help young people grow, lead, connect, and turn their potential into possibilities. We’re proud to have alumni like Elaina continuing to be part of that journey. 🌍✨
